Reading/Language Arts: The children will read and discuss the story How To Be A Nature Detective. The children will be working with words that have the chunks "old", "oll" and "ost" in them. They will review all long and short vowels, main idea of the story and contractions.
Spelling: There is no homework on Tuesday. The test is on Thursday.
English: The children are writing sentences using capital letters and ending marks where needed. There will be an English pager for homework on Monday and Wednesday.
Math: The children are working on Measurement. The children will review addition and subtraction facts 11's and 12's. There will be a Simple Solutions paper on Tuesday and Thursday. Remember to study all addition and subtraction facts for speed.
Science: The children are studying plants.
We continue with the "READ FOR FUN" paper. It is due by May 21.
On Wednesday, May 9, there was May Crowning after the Mass at 9:00. It was wonderful to see all the Calvert Catholic School students together for this special event.
The weather cooperated and the Field Day last Friday was great!. Thanks to Mrs. Stover, Mrs. Gase and all the helpers.
On May 14, a representative from the Tiffin Seneca Public Library will come to our school and tell us about the Summer Reading Program. It is a good program that will encourage your child to read all summer long.
The Rosary will be said on Friday in Church.
Zoo Trip is May 22.
Last day of school is May 24. This year has gone fast!
